Appearance: Sashinga Tenge , being 169 years old, has the physique of a 17 year old boy, including the semi-cocky facial expression pasted over his face for those who doesn't know him. His face consists of a not exceedingly charming posture and on the other hand, also not a face that will obviously scare little children. He's normal in the more average aspects, the more popular aspects of Japanese people. His eyes are not too large or narrow, neither are they small or wide. The pupil color is brown. Tenge's hair is also very long actually, something that differs him from the regular appearance of people coming from the Soul Society beside the way he wear his robe. His hair color is black and his style is smooth, reaching the middle end of his back - the tail bone, with two edges on every side of the hair covering his ears. He also has a small nag that covers his forehead.

The Shinigami is rather tall but not too tall, also being average. his skin color is pale-tan, also the most common one amongst Shinigami in Soul Society - or even souls in general. With no body hair shown at all or facial hair besides for the one on his head, Tenge's puberty seems to have been cut off at some point or just disabled that part entirely for his growth seems to have hit his end. His body tone is mid-muscular, being not incredibly bulky (in a manner that's even unhealthy for his age) neither is he slim or slimmer than most people. He obviously shows a little meat underneath his skin, but all that isn't too much of a big deal if even at all. It's probably because of his status and training as a Shinigami. Overall, Tenge's body consists of no hair at all and is proportioned well in comparison to his head, having an average skin tone and a fitting physique.

His Shinigami Shihakusho is perhaps yet another thing that differs him from the absolute majority of Shinigami, being middle-sleeved (folded actually) in both the Kosode and Shitagi - thus revealing his forearms when his Haori is missing. In addition, his top is deliberately loose thus revealing a part of his chest and a small part of his stomach. Due to the boy's carelessness about the number of division on his Captain Haori, he often wears it upside-down and so revealing the red color of the underside of it. When note, he will flip it back to show the 7th Division number. In addition, the Haori is sleeveless. One more thing about his clothing type is the way he holds his Zanpakuto, not having it next to his waist like all Shinigami but holding it behind his back - resulting in a drawing manner that makes the long sword into a dagger. This also ensures him one handed fighting style with his Zanpakuto.

Sealed Zanpakutō: Tenge's Zanpakuto's sealed form, Houhaijuu sword materialization takes the shape of a long sword, a Daito, a 95 centimeter Nodachi to be exact (length, 2+ Shaku). It is curved all the way in the blade to form a wide round angle of nearly 160 degrees (a little more), giving it a rather different design than most swords (also being lengthier as it is). It is also colored the same color of all swords, silvery steel with no special attributes except for its exceptional length oddly used like a dagger. The hilt is made of 3 parts, as usual: guard, grip and pommel. Its guard is shaped like a double even-flanked triangle, a David's Star and is goldenrod color like all guards. The grip is black and wrapped in a tassel, that being dark-purple and wrapping the sword twice in every direction. Its pommel is the same color as the guard and the only unique feature about it is a circle large enough to insert Tenge's middle finger in, allowing him to spin the sword. It wouldn't be of much use though as it is not too powerful, but can easily be tied to a rope, chain or etc.

Zanpakutō Spirit: A Zanpakuto Spirit cannot live inside a Shinigami without some kind of inner space in which it is inhabited. Due to that fact, Houhaijuu's world, Tenge's inner world is similar to a simple area filled, or more likely to say blinded by thick fog. So thick, it could disable a cat's sight to only 6 meters away. If blew away, it would still look as if the fog remains - just because the floor itself, the entire inner world is one large cloud of mist, hiding the appearance of the Zanpakuto spirit from anything. But voices are echoed just perfectly inside this inner world, allowing one to hear everything that happens in this blank universe. The air is not too dense but hard to see through, almost feeling like a space filled with jelly, or perhaps feathers. There is something that pulls you back from moving inside, but it is not as light as air nor is it as heavy as liquid or oil. The floor itself is colored the same color the fog is - gray, therefore there's no telling if you're still inside the mist or not unless you blow it away and see the spirit. It's a good thing it is a completely straight floor, no bumps or any areas in the ground that could explode and rise like rocks do in the real world. It's simply, a gray plateau surrounded by neverending thick fog - with one identity living inside.

The only thing in this blank space is Tenge's Zanpakuto spirit, Houhaijuu. If it is seen, it obviously takes the form most spirits would prefer to avoid: Houhaijuu, as its name suggests, looks entirely like some sort of beast demon. Being a quadrupedal resembling a canine or a bear with some additions and also incapable of performing human speech, Houhaijuu is sort of a problematic beast to understand through analyzing of actions, paw motions or voice. It is a gray beast with an open wound on its gray back, at first looking like a part of its fur but then realizing the blood-colored cut is just a wound over the silky, gray fur. It is not any larger than a human, and even less than a motor: it is sized almost like a hog, a teen-undergoing one. The feet/paws have a shape similar in a way to Tenge's Shikai, on all four legs actually - all claws emitting the same kind of poison emitted from the sword's released form if attacking. The build of the 'upper body' is that of a hairy bear and from the end of it down it is the build of a regular canine, also meaning having changes in muscle capacity - making the front stronger. Houhaijuu's stomach has a lighter color in fur and is just as silky as the back, only that part is not wounded. Due to the body build, the front legs are more massive than the back, yet they're in fact both evenly powered in terms of pushing and pulling strength. It has a canine's muzzle that's nearly always bearing its sharp teeth and two sets of pointy ears and a line-pupiled eyes like that of a snake. It also consists of a long tail that's cutting the fur and is revealed to be that of a serpent, the tail shaped like that of a crocodile's, being yellow-colored and made in blocks.

Houhaijuu might be speaking like some beast, but it has a very nice nature to herself (yes, she's a female). It is first needed to be noted that the beast, the spirit absolutely adores her owner and perhaps vice-versa, in her case it's because of him being the only company she will ever get and because of their sort of alike personality. She's loving, caring and protective, perhaps overprotective like a mother to her children but under the same terms she can show an aggressive side to herself to shove away anybody that means harm to her or to her master. This hound demon creature believes that what's inside is what matters truly, and who knows it better than her - for her caring and calm personality, this attitude that requires numerous amounts of attention is for her freakish appearance that gives the first impression of a rabid beast - much like a Hollow. But in truth, although she cannot use human speech it is clear that she loves living things and would not consider killing unless for protection.

Yeah, the perfect partner for someone like Tenge, who's in charge of executioning.

Shikai Incantation: Hanare, Houhaijuu (はなれ, 去灰獸 lit. Leave, Exiled Gray Beast)
Shikai Category: Poison-Type.
Shikai Range: Short-Range.
Shikai Description: In release command, the sword is oddly held on one hand, complete 90 degrees. On command, the sword apparently enters into Tenge's forearm through his hand and changes his entire forearm's appearance, as well as the hand. The sword itself transforms into a gauntlet, a gray furry gauntlet with the glove part being three large claws coming out of the engulfing gray, puffy hand. The claws are in fact the blade itself, each of those are evenly lengthened and are the length of a dagger. Their color is also silver.
This could be a mere addition to the appearance, but on the upper part of the gauntlet (forearm's front) there is a marking of a childish beast face in bright red, sort of shining out of the fur. The glove itself also appears to be having pads underneath the fur.

Technique Name: Dondoku (鈍毒, lit: Dull Venom)
Technique Category: Augment.
Technique Range: Short Range.
Technique Description: Dondoku, Dull Venom, is Houhaijuu's main ability. In the process of the ability's nearly automatic activation (to which Tenge himself is of course immune), the claw Zanpakuto 'inhales' air or Reishi and 'exhales' it back in the form of poison whenever a swing, clash or impact is made. Basically, the effects of this process is selected only by the user of this technique, which means it could be released when either a swing is made, an impact occurs or even when the enemy is close enough. The Reishi exhaled is like poison to the enemy and when defected air is inhaled or the Reishi make contact with the target its perception of senses will fall a little. In simpler words, they would see, hear, taste, smell and feel things later than when they're used, but obviously not in such great differences in time. Such an ability could be used to sort of create a 'delay' effect on the enemy for a short while, until they're cut from one of the blades to let the Reishi leave. Though, it cannot be something as minor as a scratch or a shred, neither could it be a bruise for the poison to leave.

Trivia: to Quincies, for example, this is a very bad ability to face.

Technique Name: Juushiki (獣識, lit: Beast Sense. A pun on the word Seal.)
Technique Category: Utility.
Technique Range: Close Range.
Technique Description: Juushiki is a minor ability yet effective one, achieved once the use of Shikai was mastered. This ability, unlike the main, needs no process of activation whatsoever and is in fact affecting only the user himself - namely Tenge or Houhaijuu. It would seem cliche to some people, but most Shikai have the effect of improving sheer strength or movement speed. This one increases the user's senses to the level beyond human means, meaning eyesight that can see perfectly in pitch black for example, or smelling abilities that could track a target on that sense alone from at the most, 100-300 meters. The drawback of Juushiki though is simply the fact that not all senses are enhanced at once - and in fact, only one is and at activation it is randomly chosen. It could be altered in seconds later on for a more specific sense amongst the five, but such a task requires a two-second focus.

Bankai Name: XX! XXX XXX!
Bankai Category: Monstrous Summon Release.
Bankai Description: In most cases, a Monstrous Summon Release calls upon a materialized form of the Bankai, obviously in a monstrous size and power as well. This one works a little differently, for instead of summoning a massive release to the wild and leaving Tenge open for an attack (unless using Kido), it prevents the Shinigami from having any kind of outside protection because he himself turns to fuse with his Zanpakuto in a horrifying transformation sequence which ends with a human build but a notifying wrong shape. To begin with, like all Bankai should be, Tenge's side effects are no different and his as well, becomes humongous in size, nearing that of a Gillian and in fact easily exceeding the size of an Adjucha. His size could be the equivalent 2 Adjuchas or perhaps 8 times his normal, human form size.

While the sword itself disappears from sight entirely, he retains his clothing - the lower half, at least. In this Bankai form, Tenge's skin turns green and he gains an incredible amount of fur on his body, only having the lower legs, chest and stomach and his face exposed from this crimson colored fur. The Shinigami also gains a larger muscle mass which, in addition to his new great size, gives him great strength and even speed. His hair color changes to white and becomes way wilder in appearance and he also gains facial hair, more specifically a large beard and sideburns that connect it to the head's hair. His ears in this form become pointy like an elf's and his eyes glow in purple, delighting is pupils almost completely. Out of his shoulders and on his forehead grows horns, probably usable for battle, while his legs are similar in build to those block-made horns and spikes. His nails turn into claws and become black colored.

History: Unlike most infants, Tenge at birth didn't even make it as far as to live an entire day, being one of those rarer cases in the Soul Society where its said that a baby is actually born to two dead souls. It is possible, of course, but in his case it would look like more of an illusion than reality where he looks like a baby of the world of the dead but actually died at a surprisingly young age. Though his case of death was a little more common amongst the cases of death of widows, for his father died long ago in a traffic accident and left his mother pregnant, alone in the world. His soul was devoured by a Hollow resulting in the latter becoming one himself, and like all Hollows - his first target was his family. This would happen to be, his wife and his newborn son, both victims to Hollow attacks which extracted their souls from their bodies and before devouring them completely (but killing them in fact) they were saved by one of Soul Society's soldiers - the Shinigami, which also managed to perform Konso on the infant successfully. His mom, though, was a lost case.

As luck would have it, Tenge managed to pass on as an infant to the Soul Society, being one of the more lucky beings in the world and immediately getting a family to grow up with. He of course believed them to be his actual family, blood-related and everything but it was obvious to every passerby that the green-eyed, black-haired soul is nowhere near his blondy family with the blue eye trait. The boy still didn't care and neither did his folks, or older brother, just because to them this really was a family even if not related by blood.
