Today was just like any other day, despite the sunny weather with the occasional breeze of wind. A shinigami’s life will never change, it’s either training to get stronger or paperwork’s or some other more important stuff. Being a fifth seat doesn’t change things either, in fact he had a lot more stuff to do ranging from the daily report to monthly reports. Not to mention the occasional battle that popped up now and then, but then again he was used to this whole routine. Like any other day he would always start the day by going to the main senkaimon gate, a lot of people had asked him in the past why or rather what’s the point on going there. But he’d just ignored them it’s just something no one can understand except himself, for him it gave him a sense of peace as he watched shinigami’s going to their missions or just the normal routine patrol. Calmly he walked out of the eight division headquarter with his normal ‘uniform’ and his zanpakuto in his right hand. As he made his way towards the main senkaimon gate he greeted several people along the way, it wasn’t because of him being a fifth seat it’s more towards him being in the eighth division.
The eight division are supposedly said to be the silent guardians of the shinigamis, they are the ones that other division would count on in times of grave situation. To say it was over rated was probably true, even Takeshi realizes that sometimes people think too highly of those eight division members. Sure they are the supposed cavalry of the entire Gotei thirteen but he’s pretty sure the eleventh division would be of more help. Don’t get him wrong though, it’s not like he’s underestimating his comrades it’s just the pressure that people unconsciously put on him that made it a little harder. Takeshi is far from the word ‘perfect’ itself but being a fifth seat there are expectations for him to assist other especially when others are in dire needs of help.
But then again dwelling on those stuff was pretty useless, it’s not like people’s perceptions are going to change in a single second anyway. As he stared ahead he can already see the giant Senkaimon gate guarded by several of the Kido Corps members, well obviously he was so lost in his thoughts that he didn’t realize that he had walked all the way from his squad to this area. As he continued to walked slowly he heard rustles or footsteps to be precise, shinigamis moving at a high speed towards the senkaimon gate. It really looked cool from the distance to see glimpsed of shinigamis moving toward the gate with such determination but at the same time it broke his heart especially when he saw those new recruits.
It’s pretty easy to spot a newly graduated student who is about to embark on their first mission with several other ranked officers, the joy and fierce determination on their face is somewhat nostalgic for him. Takeshi walked to one of the giant white pillars that surrounded the whole area and stood under the shadow of those pillars and leaned back on them, with both of his arms crossed across his chest. His zanpakuto as usual was placed on his side leaned on the pillar also, a small smile caressed his face whenever he saw that newly fresh young shinigami about to embark on their first journey.
”brings back a lot of memories right?” His voice was low and quiet as he directed the question to the person not far from him. It was just moments ago where he felt a familiar reiatsu near him, well it’s pretty normal here to just expose one’s reaitsu it’s not like they need to worry about anything. Sometimes loosening up around familiar faces is a good way to have some peaceful moments.
