The doors gently closed behind her, a final soft breeze of wind pushing in her back as the noises from the outside were shut behind closed doors. While the outside of the 4th division's hospital complex might have appeared somewhat serene and calm to her, the actual interior proved to be quite the opposite. Just past the front doors stood Nanami, freshly appointed (and barely known) Vice-Captain of the 12th division. Even inside the lobby the noise of a busy operation was present, it made her feel quite insignificant, she was only one in the many that needed treatment. Standing there with ruffled clothes, messy hair and a drowsy expression on her face she wondered where in the world she could go or rather who to talk to get her settled, the smell of medicine clung to the air so much so that it made her head feel somewhat light. In her arms she carried a simple paper folder which contained multiple documents inside, all describing person information about Nanami herself. She firmly clenched it as she feared the thought of someone discovering its contents, she felt like every bad part of herself was picked apart and displayed within these files. Hence why it had taken her so long to finally gather the courage to visit a doctor, long overdue of course.
Within the lobby there were many many people, people running around in a great hurry, people talking, people sitting down waiting their turn. It was quite unlike what she was used to within the 12th, in her division the environment was usually not quite this bright and people didn't tend to converse so openly with each other (creating a quiet atmosphere), aside from work purposes anyway. Here things were different, people were more open and involved. While this might be pleasant for some, to Nanami this was intimidating. Slowly she made began making a few steps, figuring out where to go, while frequently jumping out of passing staff's way. The busy stream of people moving through out the hospital disoriented her, so much to the point that she began aimlessly wandering around in the hopes that she eventually came across where she needed to be, as the directional signs only helped to get herself lost even more.
After minutes and minutes of walking, figuring out where she needed to go and then losing direction all over again, she climbed up yet again another collection of stairs to arrive at a desk stationed within the middle of a hallway, as if there specifically to greet people who arrive there. To both the right and the left of the desk were two more hallways, eventually branching off into even more, the desk acting more as an intersection between them. As she slowly came up closer she noticed an individual sitting there, busily writing with his head faced down to the seemingly endless stack of papers that stood to the right of him. From what she could see the man didn't look too hostile, and didn't look too shabby for her personal tastes however that thought made it even harder for her to approach him. The man looked pretty much what you'd expect from a 4th division member, however it seemed like he was wearing a white coat, similar yet different to the ones she was used to wearing during tests in the 12th. While it was not common practice within the 4th she vaguely remembered doctors in the human world to wear those, however in the end she decided not to remark on it for politeness' sake. Silently she approached the desk, mustering some courage and began softly speaking to him.
"Uh... Excuse me? I seem to be lost... Could you perhaps point me in the general direction of the on-duty psychologist, if you have the time that is... I wouldn't want to be a bother- I mean take up any of your time..."
Her voice sounding more quiet with each sentence dying out.
