History
The noble order of the Quincy began as an ancient bloodline of German mediums who were able to see spiritual beings. Faced with a world of hollow monsters which fed upon them and the shinigami which were unable to protect everyone, the Quincy took it upon themselves to develop methods in which to defend humanity. In order to do so, unlike the shinigami who draw power from their inner reiryoku, they created a way to gather ambient reishi from around them to form techniques capable of combating the threat. As they were still limited by fighting with fragile human bodies, the most effective way for them to survive was to use range to their advantage and thus their signature weapon became the bow. Utilizing a sacred cross passed down through their families as a focusing device, they form these weapons of glowing blue condensed reishi able to fire arrows of a similar nature to strike down these monsters with ease.
Unbeknownst to them however, this would cause a drastic problem to the functioning of the spiritual world. Unlike the shinigami's zanpakutou which would purify the soul for transportation to the next realm, the Quincy method would simply erase this soul from existence. Not only is this a horrible proposition in itself, but it additionally will cause the balance between worlds to falter with devastating consequences. Quincy relations with shinigami were never ideal, but it became more strained with Soul Society commanding them to stop their activities. At first some understood, but eventually they drew up their weapons once again, unable to sit by as hollow preyed upon humanity. As the situation began to reach critical mass, the shingaimi were left with no option except absolute extermination, lest the barrier between worlds fall.
A hundred years has passed since that fateful event and it has been revealed that a last vestige of their legacy remains. The invisible empire of the Vandenreich have remained in the shadows, sharpened their abilities, and continually nurtured a silent hatred for those who slew their ancestors. It is now they finally reveal themselves and while their goals may still be unknown, it is apparent they plan to gain their long sought after revenge.
Vandenreich Organization
▪ Majestät – The central leader of the Vandenreich addressed by it's members as your majesty.
▪ Schutzstaffel - The protective echelon, four elite members of the Stern Ritter selected as personal guard to the Majestat.
▪ Stern Ritter – The star knights are an elite group of Quincy which report directly to the Majestät.
▪ Jagdarmee – The hunting army serves as the primary offensive unit within the Vandenreich. It has several numbered groups with the first unit lead by the executive hunting captain titled Vorstand Jagdhaupt, Executive Hunting Captain.
▪ Soldat – The basic soldiers which form the backbone of the Vandenreich.
[Select members within the Vandenreich are given the honor by their Majestät to carry a designated letter of the alphabet and an appropriate epithet which acts as a descriptor of their role or ability.]
Quincy Techniques
▪ Geistwaffe / Spirit Weapon
The weapon in which all Quincy use and is created with a sacred cross or pentacle passed down through generations of their family. Acting as a focusing device this increases the ability to gather reishi around it, constructing a weapon out of very dense glowing energy. Alternatively some construct their spirit weapon out of soul-synthesized silver with their cross embedded within it. Quincy spirit weapons are most often in the form of a bow, but some alternatively use other types of weaponry. You can find canon examples on this page. It is important to remember while some take the forms of assorted melee weaponry, they are all still primarily used at range, for example forming a bow at the end of their sword, due to the Quincy's inherent weakness for up close combat.
▪ Heilig Pfeil / Holy Arrow
The primary attack utilized by Quincy in which they gather reishi and condense it into a dense elongated rod shape with a sharpened end to form an arrow that they can discharge from their bow. The strength these posses is determined by the user's capability to gather reishi in combination with the amount of time in which they charge it into the arrow. It is critical for the user not to exceed the limits of how large they can handle or it carries the danger of severely burning their hands.
▪ Geige / Violin
Exponentially more difficult than firing a single arrow, this technique involves gathering a number of Helig Pfeils at once to fire them all simultaneously in a spread. Gathering to many arrows at one time carries the danger of burning the user's hands.
▪ Klavier / Piano
Those talented are capable of short bursts of very quickly gathering reishi to continually form Heilig Pfeils immediately after another has been shot to create a short period of rapid fire. Firing to many arrows in succession can be dangerous and could severely burn the user's hands.
▪ Blut Vene / Blood Vein
Through the Quincy ability to gather reishi, they are capable of causing it to flow into blood vessels and permit them to withstand blows that would otherwise shred a normal human body. This technique can be visibly seen to be active when an area of skin is struck, causing the reishi particles tracing through the veins to glow. The primary flaw to this technique is that it may not be active at the same time as blut arterie and thus can provide a dangerous opening.
▪ Blut Arterie / Blood Artery
Through the Quincy ability to gather reishi, they are capable of causing it to flow into blood vessels and greatly increase their attack power to that far beyond a normal human body. Unlike blut vein, there is no visual signal that it has been activated and thus no warning to an opponent. The primary flaw to this technique is that it may not be active at the same time as blut vein and thus can provide a dangerous opening.
▪ Elschritt / God Step [Hirenkyaku]
Gathering reishi into a platform under the user's feet, this allows for the user to ride it in order to hover midair as well as to propel themselves at high speeds. This is analogous to the shinigami's shunpo or the arrancar's sonido.
▪ Schleier / Cloak of Secrecy
Though cloaking their spiritual signature, quincy are able to achieve varying degree of hiding themselves from detection and measurement. The effectiveness of this is dependent of the talent of the individual performing it against the ability of others to sense accurately.
▪ Verfolgen / Tracking
This is the quincy ability to sense other spiritual beings and gauge their spiritual power. The effectiveness of this is dependent of the talent of the individual performing it against the ability of others attempting to hide themselves.
▪ Heilig Marionette / Holy Puppet [Ransotengai]
Gathering reishi into thin strings controlled by thought, these are attached to numerous muscles throughout the user's body as to bypass the need to send nerve signals. This then allows older individuals or those inflicted with injuries like paralysis and broken bones to continue fighting despite the limitations of a human body.

Considered the most powerful technique in the Quincy arsenal, this is a variation to the obsolete Letzt Stil which utilizes a black sanrei glove to exponentially increase their ability to absorb surrounding reishi. As such this influx drastically empowers each of their techniques while creating a number of condensed reishi constructs around it's user. While these visually differ for each individual, it always includes a halo and wings to symbolize their role as holy executioners.

Quincy Equipment
▪ Quincy Kreuz / Quincy Cross
This sacred item is passed down through generations and allows for the creation of the Quincy's primary weapon. ▪ Schwarz Geist-Streuung Handschuh / Black Spirit-Scattering Hand Envelope [Kuro Sanrei Glove]
Once placing the this on their hand, it makes the collection of reishi an extremely difficult task. With enough endurance training however, eventually it will no longer hinder them at all and they can then use it to activate Vollständig.
▪ Steele Schneider / Soul Cutter
This thin rectangular handle allows the user to gather reishi at it's end forming a short flat blade. More importantly and though a taxing processes, this allows them to vibrate the edge at high speeds. Acting as a sort of chainsaw, this tears apart the bonds of reishi thus allowing it to be more easily collected by a Quincy. While it can be used as a dagger in a desperate situation, it is not designed nor suited for melee combat and is in reality a highly efficient arrow which can also be used in combination with Ginto Spells. With few capable of creating these devices and their rate of creation slow, typically Quincy do not posses more than five.
▪ Steele-Herstellen Silber & Glas / Soul-Synthesized Silver & Glass
These two materials are used in the creation of Quincy artifacts and devices. Additionally a large amount of the material can be used to create rooms which are not easily destroyed by spirit attacks and those within are hidden from detection.
▪ Silber Rohr / Silver Tubes [Ginto]
These small cylindrical containers allow for reishi to be condensed into a liquid state and stored within for use with specialized spells through trigger of a verbal command.
Silber Rohr Spells
Wolke / Cloud
Releasing a ginto, this causes blast of air which can cushion one's fall.
Gritz / Glitter
A ginto is thrown at the enemy, stopping just in front of them to form a grey oval film emblazoned with the Quincy five star cross, covering the opponent to trap them within.
Heizen / Heating
Four ginto are tossed in formation to form the corners of a small gray rectangular box which instantly manifests, attempting to cut off and purge whatever is caught within.
Sprenger / Explosion
Placing five steele schneiders in a pentacle formation, releasing a ginto's contents into it then creates a pentagon connection between them before releasing a drastic explosion within it's borders.
Gert Sprenger / Switch Explosion
Firing a steele schneider at the target, it stops short of hitting them to form a high density box of reishi to trap the target within. Slashing the contents of a ginto tube on to it then causes an explosion within it's borders.
