As a way to make certain sections of the application easier to reference and digest, rather than paragraphs we have asked people to simply list the important qualities of their character with bullet points. Below these bullet points you can add an indented area for further explanation. This will be used for appearance, personality, strengths, and weaknesses. The remaining sections are to be done in traditional paragraph format.
To indent the section below a bullet point use the code [ul-] [/ul-] removing the - from the example here. This however will create a blank line below it, so you will need to start the next bullet point immediately after that text. For example at the end [/ul-]● Your next line of text.
Below is an example of what an application using this should look like.
Appearance
● Handsome for his physical age
● Gray five o'clock shadow
● Bandages wrapped around left eye
● Piercing gaze
● Stethoscope hung around neck
● Medical bag hidden at back of obi
Personality
● Analytic and Intellectual

Beliefs are a listing of the major philosophical views that your character holds about the world. The reason we list these it to make people aware of a major foundation in storytelling, subverting and confirming these beliefs. Any good story establishes beliefs that a character holds or develops and then the story causes them to doubt or reaffirm those beliefs. For example one may believe he can trust his comrades. You would then create a thread where a comrade betrays them, subverting the belief and causing them to lose that position. Then you would create another thread where many of his comrades come through for him in a grand display, thus reaffirming that belief. This can be done in either order.
The important thing is that you are creating threads where these beliefs are being challenged and confirmed, thus creating a constantly evolving character.
Below are some examples.
● People are inherently good.
● There is always a way to settle differences without violence.
● The nobility should serve as an example for others to follow.
● Combat is the best way for one to express themselves.
● It it always important for one to look their best.

Goals are objectives that your character is pursing and serve to advance your character's story. These should absolutely not be things that nearly everyone of your race holds, like protect Soul Society or become stronger. For each goal you have, you should think about steps your character could take towards completion, shorter goals taking a few threads and longer goals taking many threads. You should complete or fail them and then ask them to be marked off of the list. Remember that failing a goal is not a bad thing, it can create a great story and be good development for your character. You should have at least one short term, mid term, and long term goal.
The important thing is that you are continually making threads to advance towards your goals, thus establishing a plotline and story arc.

Creating a history for your character can be a very daunting task as well as being similarly difficult for others to digest and reference. To try and make this more manageable, we ask that people break their history into chapters and post a timeline at the top of their history which includes all major events. Each point on the timeline should reference which chapter that event happens in. Referencing the site timeline here can help with important events. You may have the timeline and each chapter beneath spoilers if you like.
These dates are potentially very flexible. Say someone else would like to intersect with an event in your history, but they aren't able to with it set at the current particular date. All you have to do it request that the number be changed and you two can create a significant history event together. We highly encourage for the intersecting of people's histories so do not be afraid to move dates around.
Below is a crude, brief example of how your timeline should look.
1724 - Birth - Chatper 1
1755 - Death - Chapter 2
1778 - Enters Academy - Chapter 3
1782 - Graduates Academy - Chapter 3
1801 - Obtains Shikai - Chapter 4
1920 - Becomes Vice-Captain - Chapter 5
2012 - Wandenreich Invasion - Chapter 6
2013 - Becomes Captain - Chapter 7
